chicken sausage soup

This recipe features our Chopped Garlic, Dutch Egg Noodles, Hot & Sweet Chopped Onions, and Savory Chicken Soup Base .

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 links of Chicken Sausage (I used Johnsonville Chicken Apple Sausage), sliced

  • 200g Bell-View Dutch Wide Noodles

  • 1 tbsp. Bell-View Chopped Garlic

  • 2 tbsp. Bell-View Hot & Sweet Chopped Onions

  • 62oz. prepared Savory Chicken Soup Base

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 3 bell peppers, chopped

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 1 tsp. pepper

  • 1 tbsp. oregano

  • 1 tbsp. parsely

  • 1tbsp. basil

  • 3 bay leaves

RECIPE:

  1. Add olive oil to a large pot, over medium heat, sauté onions and bell peppers for 5-8 minutes.

  2. In a smaller pan, add sliced sausage and fry over medium heat.

  3. After 8 minutes, add chopped garlic and hot & sweet chopped onions to the onions and peppers. Add all herbs and spices and 32oz of prepared chicken soup base.

  4. Add sausage to the large pot and bring to a boil for 5-10 minutes.

  5. Then let simmer for an hour.

  6. Add prepared dutch noodles to the pot and let simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
