Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup

This recipe features our Savory Chicken Soup Base and our Garlic Bread & Butter Chips.

INGREDIENTS:

Soup:

  • 4 cups of prepared Savory Chicken Soup Base

  • 1 cup half ‘n’ half

  • Black pepper & salt

  • 1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes

  • 10 leaves fresh basil leaves

Grilled Cheese:

  • 2 slices of your favorite bread (I used sourdough)

  • Sliced cheddar

  • Sliced Gouda

  • 1 tbsp. butter

  • 1 tbsp. Bread & Butter Garlic Cucumber Chips and Brine

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine broth and tomatoes in a medium saucepan over moderate heat.

  2. As soup bubbles, add in half ‘n’ half. Add salt & pepper and let simmer.

  3. Add contents of sauce pan to the blender and puree.

  4. Top with fresh basil.

Grilled Cheese:

  1. Build the sandwich with whatever cheese/bread that you enjoy. I also added mayo to mine, then I added the Garlic Bread & Butter Pickles.

  2. When I went to fry it in the pan, I added the reserved brine to the butter for added flavor!

  3. Fry on both sides, once flipped add a lid to the pan to melt the cheese.

  4. Enjoy with the soup!
