Honey & Garlic Fried Hot Cauliflower
Try this recipe out for your next party! Tastes like a cross between tempora veggies and fried pickles.
INGREDIENTS:
Cauliflower
1 ½ jars of Bell-View Hot Cauliflower 16oz. (350g)
Oil for deep frying
¼ cup Plain Flour
1 tbsp. corn meal
Salt
¾ Cup Water
1 cup panko
Honey & Garlic Sauce
2 tbsp. Oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp. Bell-View Chopped Garlic
1 tsp. Chilli powder
Salt
4 tsp. Bell-View Soy Sauce
1 tbsp. Ketchup
4 tbsp. Bell-View Honey
½ tsp. Corn meal
¼ cup water
Chopped green onion
DIRECTIONS
For Cauliflower
Drain jar of Hot Cauliflower of juices, lay on paper towel. Lightly dry.
In a small mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients (except panko) then add water. Mix well.
Soak cauliflower in cornmeal mixture. Start to heat oil over a pot on the stove.
In a separate bowl toss cauliflower in panko breadcrumbs until fully coated. Add to oil.
Fry for 1-2 minutes on each side. Then strain and place on a plate.
For Sauce
In a small pan, heat oil. Cook chopped onion until translucent and then add chopped garlic.
Then add all other ingredients except for cornmeal, bring to simmer.
Add cornmeal and lower heat.
Then add to food processor and blend.
Serve over fried cauliflower.
