Hot & sweet goulash

This recipe features our Chopped Garlic, Diced Hot & Sweet Jalapeños, Worcestershire Sauce, and Hearty Beef Soup Base. This is an easy dinner recipe that took me about 30 minutes to put together.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey or beef

  • 2 small yellow onions, chopped

  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped

  • 6oz. chopped carrots

  • 8oz. chopped zucchini

  • 1 15oz. can of kidney beans (or other favorite been)

  • 2 tbsp. Bell-View Chopped Garlic

  • 16oz. tomato sauce

  • 2 cups of prepared Hearty Beef Soup Base

  • 14.5oz.  canned diced tomatoes with juices

  • 4 tbsp. tomato paste

  • 3tbsp. Bell-View Worcestershire Sauce

  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning

  • 3 bay leaves

  • 10oz. uncooked pasta

  • 2oz. Bell-View Hot & Sweet Diced Jalapenos

  • 4oz. sharp cheddar cheese

RECIPE:

  1. Add all chopped vegetables to a Dutch oven and cook over medium-high heat. Cook until veggies are soft. I fried them in a bit of avocado oil. Add chopped garlic whenever towards the end of cooking.

  2. In a separate pan, brown ground turkey over medium heat.

  3. Once vegetables are cooked, add in prepared soup base, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, paste, seasonings, Worcestershire sauce and bay leaf. Simmer for 10 minutes

  4. Add in browned ground turkey, kidney beans, and diced jalapenos and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Add choice of pasta and cook until pasta is soft.

  6. Add cheese and mix well.

  7. Serve with toasty bread.
